Midway between Auckland and Hamilton, a peaceful town known for producing a good Sauvignon Blanc. TK is approx 35 minutes from Manukau and 30 minutes away from the Miranda hot springs and the firth of Thames.
With Auckland looking to be loaded with denser housing due to the new Unitary plan, more kiwis are heading further out. “We are seeing a lot more young families looking to get into that more ground roots type primary school out here in Te Kauwhata, there is also an influx of early retirees looking at selling up, banking some money and still being able to pick up something with a bit of luxury” Ryan Castles (one of a few property developers building new homes in the area)
The white sand beaches of the Coromondal Peninsula is just within an easy hour and a half drive from this small community in the centre of one of the smaller wine producing regions.
