Griffin(friend) was nice enough to share his thoughts, around buying his first investment in Christchurch.
Chirstchurch is one of our largest cities and the community living there has shown resilience. Population growth has been positive for the past three years. Following on from losing around 20,000 people due to migration after the 2011 earthquake.
The growth has been more felt around the north west edges of the city.
Rental yields look pretty healthy, possibly due to the housing market being fairly subdued for a number of years.
Griffin managed to secure a property for less than $400k with a rental income of around $400 per week.
