Banks are offering some relief for our flood affected clients. Banks can look at home loan repayments holidays or overdrafts.
Taking a home loan repayment holiday will mean higher costs in the long run. Feel free to get in touch if you have been affected and need some assistance.
What about the land?
We have some feedback from a general insurer
In order for EQC to consider a landslip or damage to land the following needs to have happened:
• under your home or outbuildings (e.g. a garage or shed)
• within eight metres of your home or outbuildings
• part of or supporting the main access way (e.g. the driveway) up to 60 metres from your home.
– bridges and culverts within the above areas
– retaining walls, up to 60 metres from your home and outbuildings that are necessary to support or protect your home, outbuildings or insured land.
